How does it work? Structured light projection is a method of 3D scanning technology where a light pattern is projected onto the object to be scanned. The distortion of the light pattern on the surface of the object is then captured by one or more cameras, and the images are analyzed to reconstruct the three-dimensional shape of the object.

One or more cameras capture the distortion of the light pattern on the object’s surface from different angles. These images are then analyzed by specialized software that calculates the spatial position of many points on the object’s surface and creates a 3D model of the object.

This method is particularly well-suited for capturing small to medium-sized objects with complex shapes and fine details. It is frequently used in industry, museums, and the documentation of art and cultural assets.
